This is for everyone on AP with DS5535 from MOROCCO.

Please reply if your consulate is in Morocco!! I would love to chat and get updates from everyone in the same consulate. Also, did anyone get a confirmation that the casablanca consulate received their DS 5535 form? I never got an email confirmation. But I called the NVC and they said the consulate received it and all my husband’s documents.

We did not get confirmation other than the automatic message that come whenever you email the consulate. I do not think the confirmation is necessary. What is important is when they respond to your email to let you know that your case is still undergoing the necessary AP. That by by itself is a recognition of the fact that they received the stuff and now they are working on it.

Same. I only got the automatic message that they received my email but they never responded to my inquiries or emailed me back saying that I’m still on AP. I’m just worried now because someone said after a whole year, the consulate called her and told her that they never received her Ds5535 form even though they verbally confirmed it.

Anyone has an update on his/her case from Islamabad Embassy? I am in AP since 21 months and 4 days by today, I received an email 9 months ago to send us proof for on going relationship with your wife which I submitted very next day, afterwards they emailed me back to the same day and requested for updated documents (  e.g : new medical, resubmit DS 260, latest  year tax return from joint sponsor  and make an appointment to take oath and finger prints in the Embassy) to process your immigrant  visa application.

At the second interview day, CO was very nice towards me, she apologized at start and said I am sorry it took a lot for us to process your visa, while taking oath, she finds out something in her system, she said please take a seat , I call u in a bit again , she called me again after 20 minutes, took finger prints and  said please take a seat again , meanwhile she was discussing something about my case with her colleagues , she called me again after few minutes and she is like  I wasn't able to print your visa. She said I am sorry  I can't print your visa,  there is a problem with your finger prints and I will speak with my colleagues  in Washington to fix this issue. She kept my passport and hold her hands in my file and said dont worry everything is in good order, my second medical was expired 3 months ago,

I don't know why they are taking so long even though I been in United States back 2014.I see people with good travel history and science backgrounds ( lets say engineers, doctors, physics scientist, mathematician and so on  ) they do stuck for very long time in AP like me. People who does not have any travel history and not well qualified they get visa very fast right after an interview. Its completely unfair,

One of my cousin , he wasn't able to finish even high school, he didnt have any travel history , even though he doesn't know how to speak basic English , he got visa same day from Islamabad embassy,

one of my second cousin she got her visa with in a week after her an interview, her visa was issued 4 weeks ago,

Idk wht they torture people for nothing, they just choose random people and make them hold without any reason. Worst thing is, they don't tell u y r u in AP?  Very disappointed ,

This visa is for my husband but I’m turning in all the paperwork and stuff for him. His interview was October 19, 2018.

Best of luck, you are early in the process. I hope you do not go through what we experienced. My wife completed now more than 12 month. No single update unless we email them. I think it is a good idea to contact your senators who could email the consulate on your behalf. The consulate usually respond to senators offices. That way you can know if they have all your DS 5535 materials.

so no updates since November 19. It will be 10 months since interview and had to update the travel log in August after sending the original ds5535 in February 2018. I am planning on going to Spain to be with my husband in February. I hate our lives is on hold for this.....

Hi, we will be in Spain in February too! Drop me a line and let me know where you will be.

October 2011: Met in Spain

2012-2014: Video chat + visas + visits and vacations = we made it through!

June 2014: Moved to Spain, got engaged

December 31, 2015: got married

April 20, 2016: sent I130 package

May 2, 2016: package received in Chicago Lockbox - - - 12 days for delivery!! Don't use TNT couriers!!

May 2nd or 5th, 2016: email NOA1... accepted and sent to.... NEBRASKA

And now.... breeeeeeathe..... be like water my friend....

October 26th, 2016: NOA2 [We had waited almost 6 months. Received notification from the phone app, never got an email.]

November 9th 2016: USCIS sent the petition to NVC (app notification) [waited 2 weeks after approval for this]

November 25th 2016: NVC received and created account for our petition [waited 16 days after USCIS sent it, for NVC to acknowledge receipt]

Dec 1st 2016: Chose agent online DS261 [a few days later than it could've been since the above NVC email went to SPAM!]

Dec 6th 2016: Case available for paying fees. That was fast, I think! 5 days!

Took a long time to get package out because... life... and husband's family in Morocco had to travel to get police document.

Feb 20th 2017: Scan date at NVC, received weird email.

April 28th 2017: CHECKLIST. Moroccans are required to send a Court Report regardless of Police Record status. My husband had to go back to Morocco to get it in person. Also, NVC wants a 2016 tax return now that is 2017. My bad.

September 15th 2017: 2nd Scan Date at NVC. Sent for document review October 20th.

Nov 10th 2017: Email requesting document be brought to interview. Will schedule interview.

Case complete date??: TBD :clock:.... November 8th!!

Interview date : January 18, 2018!!           Result: Administrative Processing

Embassy called for new medical last week of August. New Medical Sept 10.

Visa ISSUED September 14, 2018.

Today is really tough....

I was just facetiming my fiance in pakistan...he lived in london for a long time, he only went back because of the Visa. His family lives all abroad. He is by himself...making himself food... 😢i wish i was there by his side....

Aw...yes its very rough.

Especially when they are sick or feeling alone.  My husband has been suffering from depression and doesn't leave his room other than for work.  I worry about him all the time.
