Hi everyone,

My husband was placed under AP for 10 months after submitting the ds 5535 form. We received no updates on the case unless I emailed to inquire and then the date on ceac will change. I stopped checking after months of no updates, and then one day in Oct I saw the date changed without me inquiring on the status. A few weeks later he was asked to submit new medical. A couple of weeks after submitting his medical, his visa was issued! I don’t know what took so long, but I think every case is different and eventually they’ll get to it. Have faith, pray, believe, and don’t give up! Be the support your spouses need. That will make the wait worthwhile. I’ve never wrote a post here, but I decided to write one now and maybe give y’all some encouragement.

Asallamalaiykum brothers and sisters

I read these threads from months and realized that many who get ds 5535 form are from one country and interviewed in other country. Is there are people from Islamabad and interviewed in Islamabad and are waiting for so long?
