Today is so tough... when is this nightmare going to end.

I wish I knew!  My husband and I have both been so depressed this week.   Some days are easier than others.

How many months are you waiting?

BTW my husband is also a Pathan he's from Quetta:)

Soon, insha'allah.

I am a naturalized US citizen waiting my Moroccan fiancee's i129f visa. Applied Feb 2017. She has been in AP since Oct 2017

*UPDATE* Fiancee received i-129f visa and returned passport Nov 2018. 411 days of AP.

Anyone on here considering to file a writ of mandamus?

When would it be appropriate to do that? What kind of legal fee is associated with this? What is the turn around time?  What have been the common outcomes with Visa applicants filing this?  We have been waiting 16 months since last interview and longer since original filing so I am getting pretty close to considering additional action.

Does anyone else know of alternative options available to us to get the outcome we are seeking - approval and arrival home 🏡.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I think you should definitely reach out to a lawyer and file an action

I know a couple who waited over a year for k1 desicion from uscis which is the first stage, even before the embassy stage.  They threatened a lawsuit and finally a year and half later recieved a reaponse.

It's been almost two years since we started this k1 journey. And 4 months since interview and and 3 months since the questionnaire. I know there are people on here who waited much longer... i am just so frustrated at times. Because we wait 9 plus montha for uscis to approve a PETITION then they take another month or two at NVC, then they issue this questionnaire to make your life more miserable because their initial scrutiny wasn't enough. I spoke to my local rep, he told me they are purposefully making people wait longer. This is BS!

I am so fed up. All i want is to start my life. We pay our dues to be in this country. We have rights.

I am so done some times. How do we bring change?

On the side note, my fiance is from Peshawar area

I pray for all of us to be done with this nightmare as soon as possible. I was feeling depressed today too :( It's a very difficult time of waiting and not knowing what's going to happen and when it will end.

We will be on year 2 soon as well.  Our PD is 2/21/17.   I'm so worried about the ds5535 processing and praying that InshaAllah it does not keep us waiting until year 3.   We submitted the questionnaire a little over a month ago.

Let us be patient! I also go through this pain on a daily basis now completed 12 month. Not only separated from my wife, but also from my son! double pain.

we are hitting 16 months in AP without a single update. :(

Does the embassy reply to ur inquiry? What are they saying? 16 months is just too much.  That means all of us from Islamabad can expect a long wait or just lose hope 😕
