That's something great. I wish you get your visa soon and your son as well whose case is still in AP... I m waiting since 13 months.. I cannot explain my situation.. I cry daily at night... I check my status and email for about 5-6 times in a day.. Please pray for me.. Please I need it badly because at this point of time I have nothing else to do in my life...I want my visa so that I can meet my mom in USA and start my career and job. I m at home since one year.. I ceased my studies because of visa.. My engagement or rishta got broken in this one year.. I have lost my internship as well.. People ask me to get into another rishta and leave this visa thing n get married bcz its not gonna come.. I m so worried.. I don't know what to do.. I m living with my father... All my siblings are busy in their lives... I m the youngest. Please pray for me. Its the time I cannot hold any thing inside.. I don't know why am I writing all this here.Good luck to you. Stay happy.

Thanks for your kind wishes.. I can feel the pain of waiting.. You know we can only pray nothing else.. Try one thing.. Start listening tafseer and stop checking on ceas and worrying.. Put it all on Allah Almighty.. I bet you will really feel good and relaxed.. If want details of tafseer, do inbox me, I would love to share with you.. Again lots of prayers for you.

I am noticing a trend...the wait seems to be between 6 to 8 months from the time you recieve the questionnaire. But of course there are a small precentage that take longer..but i highly advice you all to reach out to yourblocal congressperson or senator to help you if it's way out of time limits. This is just unfair. They ruin people's lives...

Ugh contacted both the congressman and the senator. They can only put an inquiry out for you.

Our useless stupid embassy didn't give a reason for this long AP and told us to just wait!

Khartoum,  Sudan. Cr1 visa.

They stopped replying to our emails that's why we had to ask someone to ask on our behalf. At this stage it's actually a waiting game nothing more.

How long has it been for you?

Yeah... i know it sucks. I spoke to my local rep face to face and he said senators can do something if there is interest and influence from more than one inportant person. They won't be able to get a decision but they can accelerate the process.

10 months!

They cannot expedite or push for approval of visa. The 2 things they can do "senators not congressmen" is to either put inquiry for your case or to facilitate communication between us and the agency where our case is stuck at. That's what he said.

I think it really depends who you talk to and where you are located.

I am so sorry.... 10 months..is it spousal?? Because that's another trend i am seeing those who are cr1 or ir1 ..it's taking longer. It's case by case.

I think you should set up a face to face meeting with your district senator.
