Hi Guys! I have been going through this portal from a week.

I too received DS-5535 form and replied next day. The case got updated 11 days after sending and visa(H1/H4) got issued next day.

There was not much history related to my travel and my employment. Embassy is New Delhi, India.

Thanks for this informational forum.

why is London a reason to check backgound ?

I don't  think it's because of london, i think it's because they got pissed off because i had the senator send an inquiry on our behalf asking why they requested the same form which my fiance gave them on the day of the interview. And hence issued us the ds 5535...which is a piece of ####### instilled by the current administration. It's their way of 'legally' witholding visas because they don't want any new immigrants coming in.

my question here is  does administrative process starts from the the day you got the interview  or  the time they receive the ds 5535

It starts right after interview. All aplicants go through it even those approved. There are different types of AP. We are in the worst category

If its been 10 days, they probably wont answer. I have seen my case update date change without them answering. Did your case last update date change? If it did that means they saw ur inquiry and didnt answer.
