i think based on your time line .. Sudan was in the travel ban countries then it been dropped ... so thats maybe why you are stucking there but i would say call and email your embassy perhaps you will here something positive .. also yes after 15/6 there is increasing number of issued visas

One of my sister had interview on 14 February 2018, she was asked new joint sponsor which she submitted in the end of last month and she got this email yesterday.. My question is why ds260 asked again and  should she go to redo medical or wait from the schedules date from embassy for oath and fingerprints??

Dear Applicant

We have recently reviewed your immigrant visa case.  To move forward, please provide us with the following:

·        Updated medical examination reports from an Embassy-approved physician (These typically expire after 6 months.  For more information, see travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/interview/interview-prepare/medical-examination.html.)

Once the DS-260 is submitted, please send us a confirmation email at pk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-inquiries/.  We will then schedule you for an oath and fingerprints.  You may bring your medical report and visa photos at such time.

Why they have asked for new finger prints? Many people get their updated medical and they receive their visa after its submission.

Oh my! I think this is great news. First take new photos, get the medical scheduled and then update the ds260. Because the results might take sometime to come out.

They sometimes ask to redo the ds260 just for the sake of updates nothing to worry about.

But the finger prints and all..I'd say they'll schedule it for you the moment you submit the confirmation from the ds260.

Stay blesse

Wow so close to a year????? Have you called the Embassy? Or emailed them? Our embassy told us it should take a month or two so I'm praying that they were telling the truth. I have seen some people get their visas after 60 days.

Yes, I've emailed them so many times they stopped replying after couple of times. My husband made an appointment couple months ago when he was visiting me, the lady was all like oh your case looks okay you just have to wait for the clearance because it's in Washington DC not in Sudan "where the embassy is".

We've had the congressman's office inquire on our behalf. The embassy replied by the same generic answer: this case is under administrative processing,  once it's done they'll contact us.

I'm praying sth magical happens or so and I get it this month!! May we all do!

Yea the day that the told my husband to just wait a month or two and he was like "Am I denied?" And she said "No it's just going to our main offices in the US and that's why it takes a month or two." The even weird thing about my husbands case is that his status is Issued not in AP and I thought that would change but it hast and it's still Issued

I just wanted everyone to see this because a lot of people still believe that this doesn't effect a lot of people

"The administration expects the move to affect nearly 15 million would-be immigrants to the United States, according to the documents. That would include applicants for legal permanent residency. There are exemptions for diplomatic and official visas, the State Department said." https://edition.cnn.com/2018/03/29/politics/immigrants-social-media-information/index.html

15 MILLION that's a far cry from the 65,000 they said that it would effect originally

All type of visas. Even visitor visas and work visas. It originally was only if the person at the embassy thought something was fishy but in April 2018 they started to hand it out more frequently and to a lot more people.

I am so very pleased to say...

VISA:  ISSUED

I checked CEAC today since my husband had his medical (was only 4 days ago) and even though we knew/hoped it was coming along soon, it still took my breath away. Tears in my eyes. Poor guy thought something terrible happened when I called him because I was hysterical.

We are so relieved. Only took about 2 years and 5 months...  no problem!! :clock: :ranting:

Awesome!

We're at 51 weeks, 1 year next week of AP with my fiancee stuck in Morocco. I hope we don't have to wait 2 years. I'm going to sell my house in the spring, so may just bail on the US all together.

I am a naturalized US citizen waiting my Moroccan fiancee's i129f visa. Applied Feb 2017. She has been in AP since Oct 2017

*UPDATE* Fiancee received i-129f visa and returned passport Nov 2018. 411 days of AP.
