Omg! How come I was never aware of this thread! ! It feels so good t find other people going through the same thing...almost. May we get cleared soon!!

I had my interview at (Khartoum, Sudan) on the 18th of Dec 2017. Was asked to submitted my authenticated birth certificate (born and raised in Saudi Arabia with a Sudanese nationality), I dropped it off at the embassy on the 8th of Jan 2018. Also, was asked to answer the "extreme vetting" questions through email which I did a day after the interview.

The only difference was they handed me a piece of paper with the questions to answer through email. Not the actual form or the official name. They also didn't ask me about my siblings dates of birth.

Ceac shows AP ever since, with at least 10-15 updates from their side. 8 months and counting. . .

Haven't posted on here in awhile... Has anyone heard that visa's are going to be approved in September? My fiancee is part of a group and some people said they heard whispers that next month that a good amount of pending visa's (if not all) should be approved; however, they would not go into details or reveal sources... hence, i'm skeptical about it... just wanted to see if anyone heard anything similar. My hopes are not up, not trying to get anyone elses either...

I am on that facebook group, there is no rumor it's more of hope that the dv lottery applicants get their visas before September 30, because if they don't they will lose their eligibility to receive a visa. I personally do not think it's going to happen

Maybe someone here will answer my question.

My my husband had his first interview on July 25, 2018. They told him that a few papers were missing and to send those papers with his passport via mail. We did that he was in AP for maybe 2 or 3 days and then it showed "ISSUED" I was so excited and couldn't wait. After a week we get a call telling my husband that he has another interview because he forgot to attach the taxs of one of his sponsors. Again no problem we got those ready for his second interview. But one day before his interview we get an email telling us to fill out DS-5535. On the day of his second interview August 28, 2018 he gave them his sponsors taxes. My husband was given back his passport and was asked if he filled out the form and he said yes. They told him to wait 1 or 2 months.

I checked his his status and it still says ISSUED. I don't understand why they would put his status as ISSUED.

AP for missing documents it might be 1-2 days  2-3 weeks 1-2 months (( mostly 2 weeks after reviewing )) if there is no red flags ..

Not worried about the missing documents more so about the reviewing of the DS-5535 because I see a lot of people having to wait a year I even a year and half. I'm just wondering why his status says ISSUED instead of AP

I'm glad you had a nice visit to Iran. It's not fair your visa request is not going through just because you had a travel history to one of the banned countries. I cannot imagine how long would it take for my husband who's born in Iran :( It's been 6 months since the interview for us too.

Hey rami how r u I hope u doing well brother. My wife is under AP since November 2017 until now if u really have a good luck u will get ur visa before us inshallah but the only option we all have is just pray and want with no stress.

My uncle and his family had their interview last year on December 4,2017. Unfortunately they were placed in AP. I received an email today stating to have them resubmit their updated medicals and upon recieving that they will process their case. Now does this mean that they will finally be getting their visas? Any response will be helpful thankyou.

Ooooo yes that sounds like very good news!  Is that what they said - process your case?

Did they already answer questions from the ds5535 about social media, family,  etc.?

October 2011: Met in Spain

2012-2014: Video chat + visas + visits and vacations = we made it through!

June 2014: Moved to Spain, got engaged

December 31, 2015: got married

April 20, 2016: sent I130 package

May 2, 2016: package received in Chicago Lockbox - - - 12 days for delivery!! Don't use TNT couriers!!

May 2nd or 5th, 2016: email NOA1... accepted and sent to.... NEBRASKA

And now.... breeeeeeathe..... be like water my friend....

October 26th, 2016: NOA2 [We had waited almost 6 months. Received notification from the phone app, never got an email.]

November 9th 2016: USCIS sent the petition to NVC (app notification) [waited 2 weeks after approval for this]

November 25th 2016: NVC received and created account for our petition [waited 16 days after USCIS sent it, for NVC to acknowledge receipt]

Dec 1st 2016: Chose agent online DS261 [a few days later than it could've been since the above NVC email went to SPAM!]

Dec 6th 2016: Case available for paying fees. That was fast, I think! 5 days!

Took a long time to get package out because... life... and husband's family in Morocco had to travel to get police document.

Feb 20th 2017: Scan date at NVC, received weird email.

April 28th 2017: CHECKLIST. Moroccans are required to send a Court Report regardless of Police Record status. My husband had to go back to Morocco to get it in person. Also, NVC wants a 2016 tax return now that is 2017. My bad.

September 15th 2017: 2nd Scan Date at NVC. Sent for document review October 20th.

Nov 10th 2017: Email requesting document be brought to interview. Will schedule interview.

Case complete date??: TBD :clock:.... November 8th!!

Interview date : January 18, 2018!!           Result: Administrative Processing

Embassy called for new medical last week of August. New Medical Sept 10.

Visa ISSUED September 14, 2018.
