Ibnfawzi ~ That sounds like your contact is uncomfortable making any further inquiries because they could get into trouble for asking about something that has nothing to do with their job. I wouldn’t blame them in light of how things are with immigration at the moment. Just keep the faith. As this individual told you before, it is a good sign that they didn’t return/deny your application/file right away.  It will end happily soon, inshallah.

Haven't posted on here in awhile... Has anyone heard that visa's are going to be approved in September? My fiancee is part of a group and some people said they heard whispers that next month that a good amount of pending visa's (if not all) should be approved; however, they would not go into details or reveal sources... hence, i'm skeptical about it... just wanted to see if anyone heard anything similar. My hopes are not up, not trying to get anyone elses either...

If I had a nickle for every time there was a rumor or good feeling, I'd be able to afford to just move to Morocco.

I am a naturalized US citizen waiting my Moroccan fiancee's i129f visa. Applied Feb 2017. She has been in AP since Oct 2017

*UPDATE* Fiancee received i-129f visa and returned passport Nov 2018. 411 days of AP.

Okay so my husband is a bit superstitious and didn't want me to say anything until ... but I told him that we have to since everyone here seems so depressed.

Yesterday we got a call from the embassy telling him that our case has been completed and that they are very sorry for the delay. They were asking for a new medical exam. So... I guess we're almost there. It's still surreal to us.

Anyway I just wanted to tell you all so you don't give up hope. The last thing we expected in August was a completed case but that's what's happened.

You never know.

I hope those rumors are true! 😚😚

October 2011: Met in Spain

2012-2014: Video chat + visas + visits and vacations = we made it through!

June 2014: Moved to Spain, got engaged

December 31, 2015: got married

April 20, 2016: sent I130 package

May 2, 2016: package received in Chicago Lockbox - - - 12 days for delivery!! Don't use TNT couriers!!

May 2nd or 5th, 2016: email NOA1... accepted and sent to.... NEBRASKA

And now.... breeeeeeathe..... be like water my friend....

October 26th, 2016: NOA2 [We had waited almost 6 months. Received notification from the phone app, never got an email.]

November 9th 2016: USCIS sent the petition to NVC (app notification) [waited 2 weeks after approval for this]

November 25th 2016: NVC received and created account for our petition [waited 16 days after USCIS sent it, for NVC to acknowledge receipt]

Dec 1st 2016: Chose agent online DS261 [a few days later than it could've been since the above NVC email went to SPAM!]

Dec 6th 2016: Case available for paying fees. That was fast, I think! 5 days!

Took a long time to get package out because... life... and husband's family in Morocco had to travel to get police document.

Feb 20th 2017: Scan date at NVC, received weird email.

April 28th 2017: CHECKLIST. Moroccans are required to send a Court Report regardless of Police Record status. My husband had to go back to Morocco to get it in person. Also, NVC wants a 2016 tax return now that is 2017. My bad.

September 15th 2017: 2nd Scan Date at NVC. Sent for document review October 20th.

Nov 10th 2017: Email requesting document be brought to interview. Will schedule interview.

Case complete date??: TBD :clock:.... November 8th!!

Interview date : January 18, 2018!!           Result: Administrative Processing

Embassy called for new medical last week of August. New Medical Sept 10.

Visa ISSUED September 14, 2018.

Do inform us when he gets his visa in hand. And yes your husband is right about being superstitious haha. Jab itna sabb hogaya ho insan yehi sochta hai just like me 😕

Hi,  his interview was in January, in Madrid. He's from Morocco.

We apparently got an update on Friday but hadn't seen it, thank goodness, because we had stopped checking.

The only thing that happened beforehand, about 10 days before, was that I had written another desperate email to the embassy. They replied, so sorry, etc etc.

I've emailed the Casabalanca location multiple times in the past 4 weeks but have gotten 0 responses. I've called the different numbers for that location, transferred to the visa processing location and no one answers...

has anyone else had luck with them in the past month?

No, my fiancee tried to contact the consulate multiple time in Casa, with no empathy or help. We tried the embassy in Rabat as well, and they say "not our business, call the consulate". Here in the states I'm calling who I can, but there is limited amount of collaboration between departments and hitting wall after wall.

I recommend you reach out to your congressman and ask them to communicate with the consulate for a status update; the consulate will be obliged to respond.

sadly, I reached out to my local congressman when my fiancees case was 2 months into AP. we are now in month 10 and I've gotten more responses/information than they have...

They are useless. I've reached out to both Senators, and my Representative multiple times. I even had a Representative in another district reach out (she has close ties to our mosque). All I get everytime is "The case is in AP. Sit down, shut up, and stop bugging us so much. We can't do anything else". Members of Congress can only help in denied cases, and even then it is mostly to answer questions. They cannot push a pending case forward (unless you have deep pockets like the NRA or other lobbyist and bribe them).
