Hi all, I’m back with some good news. I received my visa today after almost two months in AP. Here’s my timeline:

- Interview on 6/11/2018.

- Email asking me to complete DS 5535 received on 6/13/2018.

- DS 5535 completed and sent back the same day.

- Consulate confirms receipt of my DS 5535 on 6/18/2018.

- No updates to ceac.state.gov since 6/13/2018.

- First update on 8/8/2018.

- Visa issued on 8/9/2018.

- Passport picked up on 8/9/2018.

Thank you all for sharing the progress of your respective cases and helping us situate ourselves.

I wish everyone stuck in this dreaded AP a prompt resolution. I know it’s tough, but I also know that it does get better inshaAllah 😊 Stay strong and keep your head up 👊🏻

What country did you apply from??!!

I submitted  next day of my interview...8 days ago...hope is gd signal

I have seen this before. Initially the case update regularly and then disappear. Updates are misleading. If they click on your account that shows update which may not necessarily update. When we send them emails usually the case shows update. But this is more of just clicking on your account. We also seen some cases stay very short period with couple of updates and the visa issued immediately after that. I hope that is the case for you. Best of luck!!!

We received an email for the embassy asking for additional social screen handles/screen names. Apparently they sent an email on June 12th but neither one of us received it.

Since then I have responded and sent in the information (same as we did when we first was requested in February) they asked for an updated travel history, previous phone numbers, previous passport numbers, etc.

Again I answered all they asked for and reminded them that it is still the same information provided the first time they asked.

I am hoping this is a sign that at least it's being worked on.

Thats strange. Does the date updates on your case? How long have you been waiting since they sent you the intial Ds 5535 form?

Hi,

I just want to know if there is anyone from Morocco who applied for F1 visa and was put on Administrative processing and had to fill out the Ds5535 form. Can you please share your experience on how long it took to get your visa. I am in Panic mode because my school start date is on the 22nd August, and I still have my passport on me.

I would also appreciate if anyone from any other country who was in a similar situation to share his/her experience,

thank you,

The case did update on the last email I sent. We sent in the information the same day as his interview, 02/20/18.

Not sure about the medical exam expiring. I am sure he will need to  have an updated one too.

According to this sheet.. Like one person reached more than one year time in Ap with ds5535.. Means get ready for unlimited time period 😏😔

And keep in mind not everyone has filled out their info.

I am a naturalized US citizen waiting my Moroccan fiancee's i129f visa. Applied Feb 2017. She has been in AP since Oct 2017

*UPDATE* Fiancee received i-129f visa and returned passport Nov 2018. 411 days of AP.
