I was always contacting the embassy every other day or once a week atleast. I just got a call 3 weeks ago and was told the visa is ready to be issued and just to do the medical and get the medical + the passport and drop it to the embassy. The next day the status changed to "Issued"

IR1 case, I interviewed January.

CONGRATS! Which Embassy/Country are you coming from? Can you fill out your info in the form in my signature so we have a data point for future reference?

I am a naturalized US citizen waiting my Moroccan fiancee's i129f visa. Applied Feb 2017. She has been in AP since Oct 2017

*UPDATE* Fiancee received i-129f visa and returned passport Nov 2018. 411 days of AP.

Please feel free to add your information to the spreadsheet below. It may help us with extra data points for those under extreme vetting. Please do not add personal info as the document is public. Do not edit any other info except your own.

did she ever live in Iraq before moving to Lebanon, because that might be the reason she's in AP.

ibnfawzi,  your post was very reassuring, thank you for sharing.   It was a relief to hear that the individual who was checking into your case said that if the consulate planned to deny they usually do that right away rather than after keeping us waiting for so long. It makes waiting easier.  It would be nice to know why case files go through all the background checks and appear to have cleared all the necessary background checks yet just get left to collect dust on someone’s desk. This happened to us when we had applied for a fiancé visa and it took an inquiry from someone inside the system to inspire movement on our case. Right after that it was moved along in the process to the next level. It bothers me that there seems to be no concern for whether cases are processed timely and justly. Also that there is zero transparency in the process, which comes off as corrupt.  Anyways, I’m grateful to you for sharing information about your internal inquiry on your case and pray that you and the rest of us will be granted the visa we have waited so long for. Inshallah
