I am Moroccan. French people don't need a visa to visit tue US. Got mine on november 6th and my case was updated on november 8th. Since, no news.. It's for B1/B2 also nonimmigrant visa

Damn it's tough they ask to fill this form just for a tourist visa. How long have you planned to stay there?

French are exempted tourist visa indeed, as long as the trip is shorter than 3 months.

I wanted to stay for few weeks, around 20 days for vacation. First I planned to go there on christmas but I realized that It's gonna be impossible because of the delays so I kind of lost hope.. If they get back to me before the summer I think Im gonna visit the US on august.. which kind of visa you applied for ?

Actually I live in NYC since two years and a half. I renew my visa (O1 - artist visa) last year and my petition was issued by uscis. But when I came back in France in February for holiday, I had to stamp my new visa at the embassy. However, I get arrested in 2016 for not paying my metro ticket (lol) so I have to tell the agent and he gave me this form... I was supposed to came back 3 weeks in Paris and now it's almost 4 months...

So completely different story

Hello Everyone. This thread is 118 pages long. Wow. What a shame so many people are being held up by wanting to immigrate to the US legally.

Has anyone actually gotten a K1 visa after the new process and form DS5535?

I applied for my Moroccan fiancee's visa in Feb, 2017. Did it all correctly and by books, and it was accepted, etc. She finally got a call to do the final interview for Sept 29, 2017 in Casablanca at the consulate. Everything went well in the interview and she surrendered her US visitor visa (which is SOP). She turned in her DS5535 form on Oct 5 after getting a couple of things she wasn't able to get in time for the interview (they only gave her 3 days notice for the interview to get everything). We're now in month 8 of Administrative Processing. I even tried to escalate our case to my Senators and Representatives. They are proving to be worthless and act like they made a huge discovery by telling me she's still in AP.

I tried to visit the consulate when I visited a couple of months ago, but they refuse to discuss her visa application with me. The consulate website even states that they will not discuss.

We just want to start our life together.

I am a naturalized US citizen waiting my Moroccan fiancee's i129f visa. Applied Feb 2017. She has been in AP since Oct 2017

*UPDATE* Fiancee received i-129f visa and returned passport Nov 2018. 411 days of AP.

Oh what email? And your status on ceac is Administrative processing or it is stuck on ready for interview?

Waiting for almost 3 months now after the interview and submitting DS5535( additional information).  It shows under administrative process.

Hi. My fiance did receive his visa after being given the ds5535. We waited for 8 months and 2 days exactly when they called for my fiance to do his medical over. He did the medical over and returned it. After returning it on a Monday, his status went to issued and he now has his visa in hand.

Hello all - My fiancé has been in AP for about 2 months on a K1 visa. We just received an email from the embassy 2 days ago:

"We are pleased to inform you that visa is approved.

To avoid any delays in final processing of your visa, you are required to promptly submit your passport along with two new photos (5×5 cm) through our courier service (UMAKS, 27 Amiryan Street, Yerevan), Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, excluding Armenian holidays..."

I believe they received her passport this morning but the status still says Administrative Processing on ceac.  Has this happened to anyone else?
