Same here. Got an update in January. After that got no update. It's been 8 months since interview. Plzzz pray for all of us..

My visa case status shows "Refused", but my documents and my passport are still with the US Emb. What dose that mean? Please some one help me.

email the embassy and ask them why it says refused. They will inform you whether it's refused or not.

did anyone have an interview in August 2017 at the Islamabad embassy and are still waiting for their visa?

I have and they have wrote refused for main applicant because New Affadavit of support needed. But other is son which shows still as administrative processing. Have emailed same response please be patient. Have trouble finding a new sponsor right now.

As soon as you find the new sponsor send them the Affidavit of support. Don't wait to long because they will send your case back to NVC.

what day did you have the interview? And when did they refuse you?

Have you heard about any of such case who delayed to submit the new joint sponsor paper, the case was sent to NVC??

No, but if you wait long enough i think up to a year they will send it back to NVC because didn't get the requested info.

How did u know case was expedited? I also got an email when my case was transferred to NVC before interview and there was expedition mentioned on it. But after interview it went into processing jst like others although it got approved at the time of interview.

Officially 7 months since initial interview and 11 weeks, since we returned DS 5535 and still no answer, this is difficult to deal with, not sure what else to do. We had countless updates and nothing changes, i so frustrated. Anyone has an approximate time of when you had an answer, after returning DS 5535

Finally. After 8 months and 3 weeks I was contacted earlier by the embassy to submit my passport and new medical. 😚
