Hello. At the time of interview VO approved my visa and kept my passport and asked me to pick it up in 5 days. But then when i came back home I got no call from embassy to pick my passport. Then after one and half month I got Ds5535 in email and when i sent it back my status on ceac changed to AP. What about you

Thanks for responding. Same with me officer was very satisfied and when I came back home, i got an email with that form attached. I am close to 8 months with ceac status showing AP. I hope this wait ends for all of us.

No. My passport is still in embassy. As I said I got no phone call from them to pick it up with or without visa. And referring to updates, I got two updates in January without emails. Other updates are because of the inquiry.

Ok mine shows no status update available. So they know that the embassy has your passport based on the information provided. I think thats how it work.

Thanks to everyone for help. I got my social security after applying at their office. I was asked to fill a simple form and just check my passport stamp and A-Number and i got it exactly after six days in mail.

I strongly suggest all of upcoming reader of that post dont depends on ds-260 wait for two weeks if u dont get yr card then apply inperson at their office and u will get it in one week.

Thanks alot..
