Hey Ahmad,

What are you planning to do about your university? I'm in a similar situation myself in that, my case is also in AP and my classes started last week. Plus, I need to pay half of my tuition fees by September the 4th. My interview was on July the 30th (was put in AP) and I was asked to submit the DS-5535 the following day, which I did. It's been exactly a month for me and it looks as though it's gonna take longer.

I talked to the international student and the transfer me to someone work on immigration section in the university and I told him to extend me for 2 weeks don't pay your tuition unless your scholarship pays it off. Also, give the international all the update in your case.

Last Update on the case is 16th August.

I don't know how longer should we wait ..... It's pretty frustrating .... It sucks

It's been 60 days for me and I'm getting anxious...

To those of you who got their visa issued, did you hear back right when it reached 60 days...? They rather responded to my email I wrote to them 4 days ago saying that my case is still undergoing AP and that they passed my message on to the consular officer.

I don't understand why you were given that form since your country falls under the visa waiver program. However, It's time to submit an inquiry ..... Have you called or emailed the embassy?

If not, do so

I don't understand either. However, I do see that we're experiencing delays at the embassy in my country. I did email them and they said while they fully understand my situation, it's still under AP. But they delivered my message to the consular officer. They also added saying that they are doing their best working on my application. Do you have any suggestion on what kind of inquiry I should make? I already told them it's been 60 days and I need them to expedite the process...

You are lucky that they reply to your emails. the embassy where my wife's interview was conducted did never reply to my follow up emails.

the inquiry i meant is what you exactly did (to email the embassy about your case).

hope you hear something back very soon

Wow, I didn't know some embassies don't bother to follow up applicants' emails. I'm so sorry. I will post something if there's any update. Please do the same. Good luck to both of us, and all of us. We got this, guys..!

Hello, guys!

Just wanted to let you know that, today, I finally have my visa in hand. Not sure if the delay was caused by it or not, but it doesn't matter now :)

And before you ask, yes, I did fill out DS-5535, and yes, I did email the Consulate to inquire about my case, and yes, my case on CEAC was updated a few times before finally and miraculously changing to ISSUED.

Good luck to you all, and don't give up! Your turn will come sooner than you think! ^_^

For more details on my case, see my Timeline.

Congratulations! how long did it take from the day you submitted DS-5535 till you officially were asked to bring passport for a visa stamp?

Also is it an immigration visa or fiance?

Thanks

Thank you! :)

It took around two months and a half (they already had my passport though) for my K1 visa.
