If you are in the US try +1 (202) 663-1225

Or +1 (202) 647-4000 and an additional number +1 (202) 485-7600. talk to them DOS

if you call these numbers from outside the US you will be forwarded to NVC and normally they don’t tell you something that you don’t know already, try and let me know

Thanks. I had the US numbers at one point but couldn't find them again.

I am a naturalized US citizen waiting my Moroccan fiancee's i129f visa. Applied Feb 2017. She has been in AP since Oct 2017

*UPDATE* Fiancee received i-129f visa and returned passport Nov 2018. 411 days of AP.

Those of you who received DS-5535 how many days after the interview did you receive it?  And was it called a Ds-5535 or was it just a simple email?  How did you submit back to the embassy?

We were told at our interview today that our case needed more administrative processing and we would be receiving a questionnaire which I'm assuming is the ds-5535 but  have not yet received it.

My husband's interview was 7/17/18 ,received email following next day with ds5535 attached (questtionaire)sent back next day ,7/18/2018 ,he submitted it back with email given by CO, the CO did send a confirmation email back saying received and everything thing was in order! Have several updates but still in AP

Hi I must say that congressional inquiry is the only way we can count on. Some Senator's offices are really nice. Once the inquiry is made it sometimes have quite an effect, not decisive though.

Yes I agree , my assistance from the senators office inquiries are every 25 days AND COUNTING!!!

Hello, Shazyyo and @Sarac9  I would suggest considering @aqz17 experience and send an email to the Chief of immigration visa dep at the embassy you had your interview, explain the hardship you are facing due to the delay of being apart for more than 5 years, etc.... I believe at least they will send to the US asking for an update and this may move along the process and you may get positive feedback, don't just wait and being frustrated DO something. You have nothing to lose.

Thank you @SabrinaJerome you raised this question and Thank you @aqz17 for sharing your experience.  I have just recently tried the same approach, and it seems you are correct, monitoring any update during the forthcoming weeks if no update, then I will do it over again.  Good luck all.

I agree ,,as the petitioner ,I do send a email every 2 weeks ,and my senator inquiries every 25 days, I believe everyone awaiting in AP should inquire to let them know we are waiting for our loved ones and its very hard not to see updates, and changes ,this is our life ,our future ,respectfully we are just inquiring! So everyone keep hope and I'm praying for everyone that's waiting ,,DAILY!

Wow Munazza this is fantastic!! We're so happy to hear this!

October 2011: Met in Spain

2012-2014: Video chat + visas + visits and vacations = we made it through!

June 2014: Moved to Spain, got engaged

December 31, 2015: got married

April 20, 2016: sent I130 package

May 2, 2016: package received in Chicago Lockbox - - - 12 days for delivery!! Don't use TNT couriers!!

May 2nd or 5th, 2016: email NOA1... accepted and sent to.... NEBRASKA

And now.... breeeeeeathe..... be like water my friend....

October 26th, 2016: NOA2 [We had waited almost 6 months. Received notification from the phone app, never got an email.]

November 9th 2016: USCIS sent the petition to NVC (app notification) [waited 2 weeks after approval for this]

November 25th 2016: NVC received and created account for our petition [waited 16 days after USCIS sent it, for NVC to acknowledge receipt]

Dec 1st 2016: Chose agent online DS261 [a few days later than it could've been since the above NVC email went to SPAM!]

Dec 6th 2016: Case available for paying fees. That was fast, I think! 5 days!

Took a long time to get package out because... life... and husband's family in Morocco had to travel to get police document.

Feb 20th 2017: Scan date at NVC, received weird email.

April 28th 2017: CHECKLIST. Moroccans are required to send a Court Report regardless of Police Record status. My husband had to go back to Morocco to get it in person. Also, NVC wants a 2016 tax return now that is 2017. My bad.

September 15th 2017: 2nd Scan Date at NVC. Sent for document review October 20th.

Nov 10th 2017: Email requesting document be brought to interview. Will schedule interview.

Case complete date??: TBD :clock:.... November 8th!!

Embassy called for new medical last week of August. New Medical Sept 10.

Visa ISSUED September 14, 2018.

So after almost 13 months of zero progress since her interview, my fiancee was contacted 2 days ago to get updated medical, my 1040 for 2017, and a few other forms to update since everything at this point was old. Insha'allah that's good news.
