PS Mairzy, almost all abusers are really nice at first (even for years! while the courtship is going on). He wasn't a nice guy who turned into an abuser; he was an abuser the whole time following a typical abuser behavior. Hard to believe, but true. Yes you love him, no there aren't two sides to this story. For the love of God, stop asking us if you're making a mistake, if it's your fault, whatever. The answer is no. The only thing that's your fault is dithering around with this petition and giving him the power to tell you when to withdraw it or not. Shame.

PLUS- It's not right that he is obtaining a visa through you based on a marriage that neither of you intend to have....

Ok i was going to stay out of this

but here goes

To the OP, if u keep justifying his actions and second guessing your own its not going to make ur situation any better. Ok you say you knew he said he wasnt much on the chit chat, tell me when is telling ur partner, the one u say you want to spend the rest of ur life with that you love him/her. He couldnt have expected a relationship to work by itself, it takes two people not one, as for communication did he expect you two to use smoke signals or read each others mind as a form of communication.

Don't be his escape goat, dont enable him to keep treating you with such disrespect. I can't make you agree with anything I say, but in my opinion you need to leave this relationship its will not be a healthy one. You have admitted in your own words that he doesnt care what u think or say when you said, "He said hes going to the interview anyway" even though you told him you wanted to end the relationship. Why are you making urself his willing victim when you can get out while you can? You said in a previous post that he is a sociopath, why would would want to marry or have any type of relationship with this person?

Everyone on here is giving you advice and you just refuse to listen and take heed. It maybe hard to stop loving him but you first have to love yourself and do what is best for you. You see the early warning signs so just pay attention to them, you also can say all you want how much you want to marry him but does he want to marry you because he loves you or because you are his ticket to a green card. Again I am only going by what ur previous posts has stated about his behavior towards you.

Withdraw your petition and move on with your life dont worry about the what ifs. This is my 2 cents worth.
