Seems he has had self-control problems for awhile.  This was no stable, quiet, law-abiding citizen who got mad and snapped a few days ago.

 

In April 2006, Hodgkinson was arrested for battery, domestic battery and discharging a firearm, after he allegedly physically assaulted his foster daughter and two of her friends.

A St Clair County sheriff’s department incident report said Hodgkinson threw his daughter around a room, pulled her hair and hit her. He then punched a female friend of his daughter in the face “with a closed fist” and struck the woman’s boyfriend in the head with the stock of his shotgun, before firing a round as the man ran away.

 

One day earlier, according to a separate police report, Hodgkinson had badly damaged a wooden bedroom door in a neighbour’s home while searching for his daughter. All the charges were later dismissed.

 

Almost a decade earlier, another foster daughter living with Hodgkinson and his wife, Suzanne, had killed herself at the age of 17, according to the Belleville News-Democrat. The daughter, Wanda Ashley Stock, doused herself with gasoline and set herself on fire inside a car.

Jim Jordan, Tennessee Rep. Scott DesJarlais and Virginia Rep. Morgan Griffith are also on the list. All six congressmen are members of the House Freedom Caucus, which contains the lower chamber’s most conservative members.

A primary example of that was reported by WND on March 8, when Clinton’s former running mate Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va, told MSNBC, “

What we’ve got to do is fight in Congress, fight in the courts, fight in the streets, fight online, fight at the ballot box, and now there’s the momentum to be able to do this.”

He said that in support of his 24-year-old son who actually was fighting in the streets.

Congressman on Hodgkinson’####### List Warns of Rise of ‘Militant Left’ in U.S. Politics

 

Franks then shifted focus from the list in order to talk of causal matters. He said that the attack appears to be “premeditated,” which means “we have devolved to a great point in our society now. To the point where the militant left is out there to the extent that they are willing to shoot people.”

Breitbart’s Matthew Boyle then brought up the left’s knee-jerk gun control reaction following the attack. Breitbart News reported on Governor Terry McAuliffe (D), Hollywood celebrities, and gun control proponent Mark Kelly unabashedly pushing gun control following news of the shooting. Boyle suggested the message ought rather be about how good guys with guns stopped the Alexandria attacker in his tracks.

 

Franks responded, “I think there are very few high-profile incidents in the media lately that have argued more against removing guns from law-abiding citizens than the one that we’ve just been through.” He observed the attacker’s “unlawful” use of his firearm proves he was “probably not what you would call a model citizen.” He added, “The only thing that they kept it from being a mass slaughter there, in my judgment, was the fact that there were good guys with guns there to take the guy down.”

Franks then expressed concern over the rise of the “militant left”:

The militant left here has been outrageous. It’s not conservatives that are going out there burning cars and turning them upside down in universities just because someone is speaking. It’s not the conservatives that are saying “pigs in a blanket” and advocating for the killing of police officers. It’s not the conservatives that are shooting people in the baseball field. This militant left is out of control and I think that the so-called moderates should stand up and eschew this and really call them out in a flagrant way.

New details involving the background of the terrorist. I have to say it sounds as if he and his wife were truly despicable individuals. This highlights the tragic life of his foster daughter before she died (she is the one involved in the DV charges). It also describes the strange story of a previous foster daughter's ''suicide'' which doesn't quite sound right to me...
