How did that feel?  Lay off of peaceful, legal, responsible gun owners and focus on the problem (individual) next time.

This is why I don't give an inch to the left on second amendment issues. Like greedy parasites they always want more, i.e. the 90s and the Brady Bill.

Seems to be one of those "spray and pray" types.  We all know one.

That goes to show that he had no aim. Probably another reason why they only had foster children.

This is what you see in California when it has to do with 2nd Amendment issues. They just keep wanting more and more laws and/or restrictions on law abiding citizens.

At one time Robert Hodgkinson was a law abiding citizen too, along with most people who have mental breaks and go on killing sprees. What's to say that someday you or any other gun owner here on VJ won't have a mental break and go on a killing spree? Laws and restrictions need to be put in place that help prevent these tragedies from happening when people go awry. There are usually many tell tale signs in advance of these tragedies that a person is mentally unstable. Those signs should be acted upon and if necessary, that persons weapons should be taken away. Guns are just too easy for anyone to acquire and once they are acquired there are no checks and balances to make sure the person in possession of them is of stable mind. That needs to change.

So enlighten me and tell me what laws or restrictions need to be put in place according to you?

Periodic mental health checks for all gun owners. Access to guns is far too easy in this country, we need nationwide laws, not state by state.

That is a non-starter for me sorry. It will never happen because what you think is crazy could be someone's off day, so you will condemn somebody just because they are having a bad day. Also who is to say that the program you suggested would not be rife with corruption? I will give you an example: You may not like me so you file a complaint against basically he said she said just so my firearms could be taken away. How many times have we seen people get arrested just because someone file a fake police report against them?

So in order to exercise my second amendment rights I have to undergo intrusive periodic  govt subjective mental health exams. You cant be serious.

Oh I can and I am. That's the problem with having gun ownership as a fundamental right, it's far to difficult to impose the proper restrictions. When you own a weapon that can kill a person in a blink of an eye you should have to show that you are both responsible and stable enough to do so.

By the way, you agreed to these very things yesterday. What changed?

I agree with this and I would prefer a Nationwide Concealed Carry would be great as well.

If you read my following answer to that it stated that: "My mind is on other things at moment and I apologize, my crypto currencies are taking a beating this morning". So I will admit I did not read your whole statement but only the first sentence about Nationwide laws. So I apologize if it seemed that I was in favor of this because I am not.

I suffer from PTSD brought on by Combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, I will NEVER let someone take away my rights just because I have mild PTSD. Sorry but no. If someone is verifiable loony then go ahead, but you better have a damn good reason to do that. Where here in California just because you are being seen for PTSD the state could take away your firearms.

Ummm..maybe you shouldn't reveal so much on a public forum... Best wishes.
