Police certificate from Benin Republic

My fiance  lived in Benin Republic for about two years for business before moving back home.  He is trying to get information about obtaining a police certificate from there but not making any headway.  Has anyone obtained a police certificate from Benin Republic?  How did you go about getting it and what documents were needed?  Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot.  I just looked at the information on police records on that site and it seems to refer to natives but my fiance was there for business. It is not his native country.  We want to know if he has to go to Cotonou for this document and what he may need to present or if it can be processed remotely or even at the Benin Embassy in Nigeria. I tried to call the Benin embassy in Nigeria but none of the numbers that i saw online worked.

Have you had any luck in getting a police certificate from Benin?  We are looking at the same issue.

Yes, he was able to get it from Cotonou.  He first went to the Judiciary Court in Cotonou with his passport and birth certificate. It costs about 20,000 CFA and took about 2 weeks for the whole process to be completed.
