A few things:

You will get better answers on CFL website, that site specializes in Chinese immigration matters, and the consulate in Guangzhou. http://candleforlove.com

Please update your profile, the only way to know that you are dealing with China was your mentioning it in this post, things like benificiary country (China) help get better answers.

Notarial marital status certificate. If divorced before, previous divorce certificates for each marriage are required. If any child from previous marriage will also apply for visa, a divorce decree showing the child's custody is needed.
