Hi peeps,

Quick and probably silly question. I am filling out my I-9 for the job I start next week. My I-765 EAD has been approved and is in hand but my I-485 is still pending. On form I-9, it asks what status I am in. The two options are: 'A lawful permanent resident', and 'an alien authorized to work'.

Do I put the alien authorized to work down and put my EAD expiry on there? If so, what happens in a year when that is expired? Do I just fill out a new I-9 with my GC number (or if still waiting my new EAD number). Or as I have filed for the I-765, put a lawful permanent resident?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys!
