I noticed Mia12392 and Rafiq Akhtar with the same story they told us here in this platform.

US Embassy Islamabad has tightened visas ever since Trump took the office ... quote: I do not mean to degrade your hopes as I’m in the same boat , over 4 months in AP. I will advise you to keep yourself busy and pray to Allah sweet , thinking too much about this will depress you deep down n that will effect your normal life.i was stressed out just like you the first 2 months n then I just put a dot in front of it... 

 

we will all come out of this hardship one day Inshallah. Ameen

I contacted the embassy only once and they never replied , but my attorney makes inquires every Monday —> I’m sure he has been winding them up lol. Last email I got from them through attorney.

They kept my passport n issued me 221g as they needed my previous passports n I had only copies which I submitted along with detailed statement as of why I’m not in possession of my previous passports. 

I have a long travel history in Europe , Asia , Africa 

 

4 months and counting .......

I know one person from pakistan who got his visa issued in 2.2 months.. he had to fill out DS5535 and applied for a H-1B visa. There is still hope.. I'm praying for everyone to get out of this difficult situation.

H-1B is employment visa, family based visa are vetted even more ... I’m sure who got H-1B visa either that person is a doc or engineer or a business man etc... so yeah I know that’s not fare to us .. but as I said keep the hopes high .. expect the best n be ready for the worst !

OK keeps your hopes high you'll hear something good very soon , but they didn't asked me for any docs he said everything is okay with my docs  just gave me ds5535

Don’t worry about DS5535 , they will issue visas but they are just being bossy....

How long you've been waiting in AP now and what visa officer told you at the time of interview? Did he kept your passport?
