I have been offered a job in America

Hi, 

 

i have applied for a job in a company in Texas were I have a lot of experience in that specific field. 

 

The company has offered me a job but can't do anything official until I am eligible to work here, they said they are willing to invest in my visa and are currently looking into the situation

 

My question is, i have 8 years experience and several training courses done in my specific line of work but I do not have a college degree/ masters etc. With my specific training in said job would I still be elegible for a visa and if so would it still be a H1B or something else ?

H1b is administratively closed for this year.  The company must have an immigration lawyer to deal with this.

This is something that company has to do no matter if they have experience or not. Work visas are handled by the company's lawyer and they HAVE to cover the expenses.

It's the company's job to provide the visa. If they said they won't hire you until you are 'eligible', you need to clarify that with them. If they are looking into the situation, I suspect you have to wait and see what they can do. You can't self-sponsor a work visa so I'm afraid you must rely on them.

The earliest you could start working with them is October 2018. Whether or not you're eligible is up for their lawyers to figure out.

Thanks for the info, The employer has said that they will pay for me and get a lawyer to arrange everything, what I'm just curious about is if I would be available to get a visa without a degree even though the employer will sponsor me ?

Obviously the next step is for a Lawyer to consider the options, please let us know what is proposed.
