Case Status Frozen? It never updates

Hey everyone,

 

Just a quick recap on the case: K1 (duh! lol), was in AP for some 5+ Months until I got a call saying I was approved, submitted new medical and passport based on their request. When they received it, case creation date and last update date became the same, it also changed from Immigrant to Non-immigrant status (these are signs of case approval) (still says AP although AP is supposed to be over when I got that call).

 

Since then, it has been a little more or less than 60 days. I inquired like several times through email, congressman, and NVC.

The dates NEVER changes or updates.

 

Oh! I also recently requested my passport back - all I got was "the case is under AP still" ... which is extremely weird.

 

Has anyone faced a similar situation where the case is frozen like this and never updated?

And/or has anyone been in a similar situation where they were told approved after AP and took this long to get their visa issued?

We would truly appreciate any input here. This is a weird new situation and we would like to know if anyone has gone through this before. Anywhere.

My case has been stuck since December 4, 2016 and in AP  it never changed no matter how many inquiries I make . I feel you I'm sorry 😞

Yeah, the consulate just asked for my fiance's passport and some ID's  March 15,2018. We sent them in on the 19th. They updated on March 20th. Crickets. No updates, nothing. Why did they request his passport if they aren't issuing his Visa already? We've been in AP since October 12, 2017.
