Muslim ban? Why is it that only a small percentage of the world's Muslims are affected by it and it is not exclusive to Muslims. Calling it a Muslim ban whether you agree or disagree with it is a mis characterization.

Not all residents of the affected countries are Muslims, so how can it be construed as a "Muslim ban"?  Just wondering.

After the San Bernadino shooting in December 2015, Trump explicitly called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”  That policy statement was still on the Trump campaign site last month for the 4 the district judges to find and cite.  They finally took it down after the judges cited it in his loss.

 

And the court cited Guilianis fox interview

Quote: "So when he first announced it, he said 'Muslim ban.' He called me up. He said, 'Put a commission together. Show me the right way to do it legally.'"

And then

Quote: "Fundamentally, you're still going to have the same basic policy outcome for the country, but you're going to be responsive to a lot of very technical issues what were brought up by the court."
