Hello all,

So I'm almost ready to send in the new version of I-130 (2/27/2017 version) to file for my husband. I just wanted to double check everything before I send it in and I know about the I-130 instructions, but there are some things that are not covered in it

So the following is what is in my packet

Cover letter stating the purpose of application and the contents of the packet

Form I-130, Form I-130 A, Form G 1145

Copy of Naturalization certificate (mine)

Copy of passport (mine)

Copy of Marriage certificate

Evidence of Bona fide marriage:

Information about our joint accounts in India

Spousal Affidavit (not notarized)

Third Party Affidavits (not notarized)

Copy of receipt of engagement ring

Copy of boarding passes, hotel stay

Photographs from before the wedding till now

Evidence of having known him for years (Facebook screenshot of our friendship)

(not included: chat transcripts)

Questions:

Is this too much stuff? Will it get rejected if there is too much information?

In the instructions for I-130, it saysto write N/A wherever not applicable. I put a lot of N/A-is this okay?

Some of the fields were not working to type in online, like apartment # field, Naturalization certificate # field etc which I wrote in pen (print)-is this okay?

Is there anything else I should include?

Should I include his birth certificate?

I made some notes in bold and red above, now the answers to your questions:

  • Your file will not be rejected for having "too much information."
  • If the question does not apply, then it's ok.
  • Should be fine.
  • Do not include his birth certificate, it is not needed at this point.

What I see as missing from your list above, is two photos of your spouse and two photos of you, as per I-130 and I-130A instructions (checklist)
