We received the Instruction letter this morning from the Cairo Embassy.  See attached.  It is instructing us to prepare certain documents for each person applying for the visa (i am assuming this is my fiance') and then send these documents to Cairo Embassy via Aramex courier service.  My question is, I thought these documents they are asking for in the Instruction letter were my documents that I originally submitted with the I129 petition and these were the documents that were uploaded and sent to the embassy?????  Confused.  I do not have any of my original documents as those were sent as requested -- I-129F RFE Reply(s) : on 4/18/17. See timeline.

Affidavit of Support and tax returns as well as a job letter with current salary and length of employment - It isn't a problem obtaining, but I was told by an attorney that this was not needed at this point but they are asking for it in the instructions.????

Actually all those documents are required to be submitted at the embassy level. It doesn't matter that they were already sent in with the I-129F petition. You'll need to prepare them still :)

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Always submit what the embassy or US immigration agency asks for so that they could proceed with your case in a timely manner regardless of what an attorney might say.

Right. Thank you again.  Also, we already completed the DS160 and paid the $265.00 fee while also registering with the CGI to set up a profile -  we got ahead of ourselves in the process. I hope this does not affect anything negatively.  After that, I realized how important it was to create the timeline.  Now that I have completed timeline, things are much clearer and I will help stay on track.

Those financial support docs are never needed in submitting the initial packet. Some people say that if you have already submitted those papers, it somehow skips the NVC stage and jumps right away the Embassy level which I find strange and unbelievable.

I had mine processed in UAE and we also got that letter you are talking about, it was via e-mail sent to my husband (the petitioner) and in it, they require originals of his Form I-134, w2, ITR, paystubs, employment certificate which I provided.

I am sorry that you were given a wrong info. But like what the other commenters said, you will only need those at the interview stage as it is solely the consul's job to look at those docs and decide whether the petitioner is able to meet the poverty guideline.

Best of luck! I hope your concern gets resolved.

thank you for the information on the I134.

Hi @Kimberlia, how long after your case was "received" did the embassy email you? My fiance's case has been at the embassy for over 10 days and we have not heard anything from them yet. Just wanted to see how long they took to email you.

Timeline shows you've already finished your interview. They did ask for any more document at the interview because they put your case on AP. How was the overall interview experience ?
