hi your guys sorry i am new here. From brazil. I havent see my wife since october. damn... it sucks! well back at my point here.

I am asking to you a question about interview.

I havent none idea about what i am expecting. Anyways what you brought to interview. What they asked the questions to you. How long is the interview. How was your experience, how you felt, etc.

You are very welcome, and yes you have to have all documents requested by the Consulate translated to english.

You are very welcome, and yes you have to have all documents requested by the Consulate translated to english.

Are you sure about that?

I don't know about the consulate in Brazil, but in most other Latin American countries, the consular officials are fluent in both English and in the native language where the country is located. I know at our interview in Caracas, Spanish or English was equally acceptable.

Stuff submitted to the USCIS in support of a petition needs to be translated to English, of course, but that's sent to a US address, and it happens long before the consular interview. Those rules don't apply at the consulate.

I know consular policies can vary somewhat, so the best bet is to check with the consulate that is handling your interview. Also, in those cases where translation IS required (say, you have a document in German, and your consular officers only understand Portuguese and English), then the consulates typically have different rules for how to perform and certify translations than the USCIS rules.

29 Apr, 2004: I-129F NOA 1

25 May, 2005: I-129F finally approved! We won't pursue it.

24 Oct, 2006: Window for filing I-751 opens

25 Oct, 2006: I-751 mailed to CSC

18 Nov, 2006: I-751 NOA1 received from CSC

30 Nov, 2006: I-751 Biometrics taken

05 Apr, 2007: I-751 approved, card production ordered

23 Jan, 2008: N-400 sent to CSC via certified mail

19 Feb, 2008: N-400 Biometrics taken

27 Mar, 2008: Naturalization interview notice received (NOA2 for N-400)

30 May, 2008: Naturalization interview, passed the test!

17 June, 2008: Naturalization oath notice mailed

15 July, 2008: Naturalization oath ceremony!

16 July, 2008: Registered to vote and applied for US passport

26 July, 2008: US Passport arrived.
