Thank you for the reply. I received my IOE just now. You are right..mine took 7hours :)

The paper one will follow in about 7-10 business days.  And then your biometrics scheduled about two weeks after that, if it follows the normal timeframe.

There can be a delay of 24-48 hours for notices to be uploaded onto your account.  I filed mine on a Friday and didn't get the receipt notice showing online until Monday morning.

Came to this thread to ask the same thing. Because having it actually showing up as submitted immediately would be far too much work for the US government to figure out...

I saw you filed it today---I would suggest you print out a snapshot of your filing (found on your online account) which shows your application in full plus documents you uploaded...keep it for your records incase there's ever a question of "hey you never uploaded this required document with your filing!!" later on.

For sure, I also saved a PDF of the entire application (selected print during the "review your application" phase, then saved as PDF).

There's just nothing in my account yet which is pretty silly, but if others have experienced the same thing and it takes a couple days to show up, so be it. I'm in no rush on any of this anyway. I honestly don't even want naturalization, it just gives me the flexibility to move home at some point without abandoning my GC.

Voting, unlimited travel, same citizenship as any US-born children (who also are CAN citizenship automatically at birth), access to federal employment, ease of entering the US border, no more dealings with USCIS, trying to think what else...run for office?  lol

OH!!  You can sit on a jury!  I'm actually really excited about this if I ever get a chance..

I actually had a jury summons a few months ago. It was kind of nice to be able to say "sorry, not eligible" :)

I don't care much about any of the things above except for voting and US border crossings (since I have a lot of issues now... APPARENTLY somebody with my name AND birthday has a federal warrant....)

As for travel, I'll be using my Canadian passport everywhere other than entering into the US.

Same here. Only entry/exit for US....CAN passport for entry/exit to and from Canada.  I don't really travel to any other countries anymore.

Going forward I'm going to start renewing my CAN passport IN Canada---outrageous I have to spend an extra $100 just because I'm renewing it from the States..

Might wanna think about getting a RCMP clearance certificate just incase you need it later...and a police clearance certificate from your State.  Both can verify it's not really you through your maiden name since the check is done under that as well, and will be listed on both certificates.

Same here. Only entry/exit for US....CAN passport for entry/exit to and from Canada.  I don't really travel to any other countries anymore.

Going forward I'm going to start renewing my CAN passport IN Canada---outrageous I have to spend an extra $100 just because I'm renewing it from the States..

Might wanna think about getting a RCMP clearance certificate just incase you need it later...

This is crossing into the US. No issues getting into Canada.

The crazy thing is I have Global Entry, so I've already been screened and vetted. Doesn't seem to matter. CBP told me theres nothing they can do until I have a US passport.

First time it happened was by car. I got the whole guns drawn "HANDS ON THE WHEEL!" treatment before sitting there for 3 hours while they searched my car. That was fun. Luckily now it's usually just a 20-30 min delay at airports (thankfully US customs is in the Canadian airports!) and only a 5-10 min wait at borders, without having to report inside.

I'm thinking about when the N400 BG check starts, especially the name check portion, it may cause issues for you later on during your interview.  That's the only reason I suggested looking into the clearance certificates.

Yea maybe. It wasn't an issue for my PR, so I'm not expecting it to be an issue here either. You'd THINK the biometrics would nullify the issue.... You'd also think my height and you know... the color of my skin... would as well.

Color of skin is irrelevant---criminals can have any skin color.

Fingerprints can be altered, I've heard.

I've heard that while FBI background checks are done for AOS and ROC (sometimes)...that it's more involved somehow on a deeper level with naturalization applications.
