I am getting the same error. I have tried three different browsers and tried to run the review both at home and work. Does anyone know a way to clear up the 500 error issue?  I really prefer to file the N400 online if possible.

I tried at home, tried again different browsers, same 500 Error, I don't know how to proceed.

As I have previously stated, the error is on THEIR side, not yours. There is no way for us as end-users to clear up an error 500, likewise no way for us to locate a page when it's an error 404. It is an error on the host server end.

Your only option is to be patient, and wait for the website to come back up.

If you still feel like you've received those error messages in... error... then you can try to delete any and all browser cookies in relation to the USCIS website and see if that works. Unlikely it will change anything, but if you're still getting the message, it really means that the servers are down on the USCIS end.

But the problem is that they are denying it, and denying in a very harsh way. "WE DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. IT IS YOUR COMPUTER"

Which means nobody is going to fix anything.

Try calling again, tell them calmly that a 500 error is a server side error, not a user side error.

"Even if you can't help me with my case right now, that's fine, consider this call a bug report."

Also, it looks like it's not an isolated case; if two of you are having issues, you can pretty much be sure that plenty of others are having the same problem with the website.

My suggestion, keep trying to log on every day until the 500 error goes away. If the 500 error still occurs, call Customer Service. Chances are, someone else has already reported this problem and they are aware of it, and they will probably work on it at some point. Keep in mind that this is the DHS we're talking about, don't put too much stock in them doing things in a timely manner.

Thank you, I think you are right, we should keep trying and keep calling them. The more calls, the more chances they start doing something

I files N 400 online and it says 9 months. I hope it is earlier than that. Im waiting for my interview and its an agony waiting for the date.

Filing online seems to be much faster than filing by paper. Waiting 9 months is nothing compared to the 2 years some people have experienced.

You called them and it went faster?

I don't know exactly if this is helped or it attracted their attention to the problem, or it was a temporary glitch, but when I tried in a couple of days, I managed to go through.

Though they kept sending messages, that they are working on the problem, then that problem had been resolved etc.

I am not sure again, cause my last name was spelled incorrectly by the guy who created the ticket, so I am not sure, how they resolved this, but I guess they have their own ways:-)
