No, it will only clear your Log in info, you will need to log in again

Talking about the browser, not your application

Thank you! This didn't work either, however I figured a way out. I combined the different files into one file (such as combine different PDFs into one PDF, combine different pictures into one PDF), and I just submitted my application!

Thank you again for your help, really appreciate it!

Hello guys! Just wanted to ask , has anyone here made a mistake with the N400 online form they submitted and how did you correct the mistake? Thanks!

I believe that the IO will go through your application, you can tell the IO the correction on your application.

I made a few mistakes on mine, but didn't know they were there until my interview. The officer asked me about a couple of things on my application that she believed might have been an error and corrected them on the spot.

Side note: I think some of the IOs are not very familiar with the way the online N400 application is set up. I was told at my interview, that for job history I was supposed to give a start date and then type in "present" for the end date for my current jobs. I'm pretty sure there wasn't anywhere to type in that section, just a calendar to select an end date. So to the officer that did my interview it looked like I quit all my current jobs on the same date ( FT job and on-call positions)...

Hi guys,

I saw someone asking this before but I haven't see an answer to this:

I am trying to upload some documents online for the n-400 but I get an error saying that the size of the document is too big. I don't really know what to do because they are PDF files.

Do you have have any ideas to be able to upload them?

How does everyone submit their passport size photos when applying online? Is it as simple as scanning them and uploading them?

You don't need to submit any passport size photo unless you are deployed abroad in the military. USCIS will use the photo taken from your fingerprints appointment for naturalization certificate. For some reason, if USCIS requires new photo then they will request it during an interview. Good luck!

09/06/2016 Sent I-751 package to CSC

Hello all,

I have a friend who was approved (ROC) a couple months ago. She was separated (physically, but not legally) from her spouse for a short period of time (due to marital issues), and now they have worked things out and she's moving back w/her spouse this month. She wanted to know if she can file for the n-400 under the 3 year rule but was unsure to do so because of the short period of separation.

I am of the opinion that she shouldn't, as they count for continuous residence with spouse for that 3 years of the PR period and she is short some months due to the period of separation (due to some marital issues). I know there is no straight answer to this especially since if she applies for n-400, the officer will ask for the gap in her residence and review her file based on that. depending on who she gets, that may be a no no or yes maybe, we will approve pending further investigation.

Not sure what other vj'ers think and wanted to throw the question out there in case anyone had an input.

Should she file under the 3 year rule or wait to file under the 5 year rule.

If she's no longer separated and just moved out for a few months AND still lived in "marital union" during those few months (ie. they still shared joint bank accounts, they still shared joint utility bills, etc.), she is eligible under the 3-year filing---if questioned over  that short period of time she needs to prove they were still in marital union (ie. working things out, was only very temporary, etc.) while apart.  If she actually set up her own residence elsewhere (instead of just staying with friends/family), it's a harder time proving that in some cases.

Depends greatly on how long she moved out of the marital home for, and if she can show the INTENT during that time was NOT to divorce or legally separate permanently...that's where the whole "living in marital union" part comes into play.  Also depends greatly on the IO she gets at her interview as it's more room for the IO to subjectively deny her based on any lack of evidence of marital union presented.

Or, she can play it safer and wait until she's eligible under the 5-year rule where her marital status won't be brought into question.

Hello,

Thanks for your input! I am of the opinion that she should wait and file under the 5 year rule. Lesser evidence required and she won't have to go through the trouble of explaining things that much. Plus her marriage will not be a determining factor for approval.

Good to hear your thoughts!
