Filing N400 online, anyone?

So, yeah, not worth the risk!  

But my 90 day window opened on November 29th so I'm not filing early.. the question here is whether I'm eligible to apply using the online tool.. for i751 I did file 1 day early and it was funny that on the day after they received my application when they could just held into my application, they paid $16 just to send everything back to me lol.

I filed online the minute I was eligible. 

 

I went through the eligibility tool, and that was it. 

 

And yes, I remember your story from last year. Hard to believe it's been THAT long already!

I had the same situation before applying my citizenship in July this year. I was eligible based on the USCIS calculator but the date on the online tools was a day before my GC. I pulled the trigger and bypassed the online eligibility tool to apply for my citizenship online. 

 

I officially became a USC 10 days ago . Good luck!

Yes, I applied for citizenship on Monday and today i have 24 wait days there for Santa Ana Office. I still have not received my biometrics appointment online though. I wonder why it's taking so long. People get it as fast as 2 days after they have applied.  Hope to get it by the end of today. How fast could you guys see your biometrics appointment after you early-filed (within 90 days window) online?

This morning at 3 am I have received the notification that my biometrics appointment was scheduled. But the letter with the date and time of the appointment has not yet been uploaded. It looks like all the updates on my account happen at 3 in the morning. 

 

Once my biometrics appointment letter is uploaded online, can I just print that one and go do my early-walk-in biometrics? Or do I have to wait for the official biometrics letter in the mail before I can go? Thank you.

You can print out the letter and go Make sure you hold onto that letter that you printed out because they'll stamp it with a proof that you attended your biometrics.

You can print out the PDF and use that, so long as it has the barcode at the bottom you are fine.  Just be aware that not every ASC will accept you for a walk-in though...some only do them at certain times, or tell you to come back when it's not busy, some don't give you any hassle at all.

Thank you for the prompt replies, guys. I have done my biometrics early at the Santa Ana office throughout the immigration process. They were always cool about it, they never made me come back. There was also never a line. I go in the afternoon as their work load tends to die out at about that time, from my experience. 

 

However, my biometrics appointment letter has not yet been uploaded to the website. Hopefully tonight at 3 am   I've noticed that's when they do all the updates to my case. Hoping to have the biometrics done by tomorrow end of day.

Is there a trick to seeing everything in the online account? We applied yesterday, everything went through perfectly, but when we log into the MyAccount we only see this despite trying on different computers/phone:

Perhaps the NOA has not yet been uploaded. I would give it a day. I use PC with Windows and Chrome for my account.

 

My biometrics appointment letter was finally uploaded when I have checked this morning. So I will try an early walk-in this afternoon. This time, however, they have not scheduled me at my regular Santa Ana USCIS Office. They have scheduled me to the Tustin USCIS. I didn't even know they had an office in Tustin. But this place is closer to me so it's better. I hope they are as nice about early walk-ins though. And my Naturalization case is still with the Santa Ana Office according to the website. So that is a bit confusing. Anybody else experienced this?

So I have went in the afternoon for my early walk-in biometrics and it was super-nice and easy as always. What actually happened is, they moved the office from Santa Ana to Tustin. Way nicer location. With a large free parking lot and almost no traffic getting there. Major improvement. Around the Santa Ana Office there was lots of traffic and only paid parking. Love the online process. Having biometrics completed only a week and a day after the application for naturalization is awesome. It looks like USCIS is doing lots to improve with the online apps and the better locations.

Agreed USCIS online system is doing great, I am able to complete my biometrics on 6th day of application.
