Filing N400 online, anyone?

08/27/2017 (day 00): N-400 application was filed online on ELIS

08/28/2017 (day 01): ELIS case status was changed to "We received your application"; Receipt notice letter PDF was posted on ELIS; 

09/01/2017 (day 05): ELIS case status was changed to "We scheduled your biometrics appointment"; 

09/06/2017 (day 10): Biometrics appointment letter PDF was posted on ELIS; Biometrics appointment was scheduled for 9/20/2017 

09/07/2017 (day 11): Early walk-in biometrics was completed; ELIS showed "Biometrics Completed On Sept 07, 2017"; took a printout and walked-in. No need to wait for the mail. 

09/08/2017 (day 12): ELIS case status was changed to "We reviewed your biometrics"

09/13/2017 (day 17): ELIS case status was changed to "USCIS has Scheduled Interview, will mail appointment letter"

Why did you send them? No photo is requested by N400 instructions.... Just trying to figure out the right thing.

Photos are only a requirement if the  applicant is filing from outside of the USA.

Hey guys I am a bit confused about the whole ELIS ACOUNT thing?

 

I been filling my application online but when it asked for my ELIS I don't know what it is?

 

Is it the account I am using to fill the application online?

I have an account for the USCIS online case check status also, are those 2 different things? Thanks

ELIS = the site you applied on (my.uscis.gov)

EGOV = egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/

When I go to my.uscis.gov, all it shows is :  WELCOME TO YOUR USCIS ACCOUNT : ADD A NEW CASE

                                                                             Your drafts: Continue your application for n400

                                                                               you need to finish your draft      continue     delete

                                                                               status: in progress

 

 

Does that mean I don't have a number? Also, how did you pay for it while filling online? Thanks a lot!

You don't have a receipt number until you actually complete and submit the application.

At the end of the application, it will forward you to another page where you will complete the payment using a credit card.

Only you would know if you have one or not.

 

If you have previously filed (as in completed and submitted) any USCIS application online, you have an ELIS account number.

If you haven't, then you don't.
