Can I file my I-601 appeal by myself?

Good morning all.  Please I need your candid advice here. My 601 was just denied after 12months of waiting.  It was denied because of aggravated felony charges.  I have about one week more now to file an appeal.  I wouldn't have bothered myself about the appeal but the immigration made a mistake in adding another charge to the charge I was convicted of.  I was found not guilty of alien smuggling at my trial but the immigration is adding it now as part of my charges.  If for just that alone,  I will want to appeal their decision. We have really spent a lot of money on this and presently don't have the resources again.  Not even to borrow.  Please if anyone here knows how I can do this myself,  please help.

Appealing a visa denial based on a waiver denial baed on a felony charge is not really DIY territory.  You can read the archieves here for some info, but I would strongly suggest getting at least some free "first consultations" with lawyers who are experts in  immigration waivers, and maybe see if a local charity or law school at a university can help.

Have you tried the site Immigrate2us.net   They have more data about problems like this than VJ
