You can apply for citizenship after being a permanent resident for 3 years minus 90 days, provided you are still married to the US citizen. So, you can apply 90 days before the third anniversary of your becoming a resident (the "resident since" date on your green card).

If, at that point, you are no longer married to the US citizen, you can apply after being a permanent resident for 5 years minus 90 days.

In some special cases (eg military deployment), you can obtain citizenship earlier.

It's five years from the date that you became a permanent resident. Only people married to USCs can apply after three years (and only if they have been married to the same USC for those three years they have been a permanent resident).

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath
