Hi,so here's my situation i really hope someone can help

after i entered on a k1 visa i married my fiancee (my now wife) we only had a court house marriage with her parents as our witnesses but we didn"t do a ceremony or a reception,we didn't do a name change either bcuz we wanted to change her first and last name but we couldn't afford it at that time as we needed to go to court and file a petition and a pay a fee that we couldn't afford at that time (Note: she still have her ex husband last name) so we decided to do it after the AOS process is done, and the only proofs we have are:

* joint apartment lease

*joint bank account

*driving licences showing same adress

*some emails from our daily conversations when shes at work

*bill on her name and lettres on my name showing we get our mail on the same adress

*a copie of the name change petition that we r gonna submit to the court after the AOS precess is done

*A Castco card that we recently had with both ournames on it

NOTE: im not on her medical insurance bcuz she"s covered by the goverment for having a low income with two kids

im just stressing out a little bit bcuz i don't have enough proofs and especially the name change issue

any help is appriciated

thank you

Personally, I wouldn't worry. You have a marriage certificate (the key), a joint lease, a joint bank account, and other proof of common address (driver's licenses and bills with the same address). Many, many couples do not change their name after marriage so that is a non-issue. And you are simply applying for AOS which means you are just now starting your lives together. In two years, when you apply for ROC, they are going to expect to see more documentation of your intermingling finances, etc. after two years of marriage, but for now it seems like you have plenty of evidence.

Are you worried because your surnames aren't the same? Because I didn't change my surname and everything went fine. Do you have a copy of the marriage certificate?

Just be truthful. Many people don't have a big wedding. The thing that matters is that you are a real married couple. The ceremony itself isn't a concern. My wife and I had a small wedding, only her mother attended. That's the kind of wedding we always wanted anyway. So there's no concern! Not everybody follows "tradition"

Don't worry, just be honest if it does come up! You've got plenty of evidence to show you're in a relationship. Take some pictures of yourself together too, pictures with the two of you + family or friends is a good shout.

Personally I'd narrow that down to have 1 picture per event or trip that the pictures were taken. 70 might be a bit too much for your IO, but if you've had a particularly difficult immigration process then it wouldn't hurt.

You shouldn't have any problems. We submitted a little less evidence than you (the apartment lease was only in my name) and didn't have any issues. Also just had a court house wedding.

When changing last name due to marriage the USC doesn't need to go to court. They can use the marriage certificate to go renew ID documents in their new name and use ID and/or marriage certificate for changing name with banks, at work etc.
