Congratulations and have a safe pregnancy. I have a child and that is one of the criteria for a bona fide marriage. Don't stress, everything will work out for your family but it will be a long journey.

How is that a criteria for a bona fide marriage?

Have you not heard of married women getting pregnant by men who are not their husbands?

LMAO I always think this is the most ridiculous thing ever.  Because people had sex and didn't use birth control suddenly their marriage is less of a sham than someone else's? Ongoing debate on VJ obviously.  But the USCIS does have "children born within the marriage" as one of the options for evidence.

I was born in Pakistan and having kids before marriage is unheard of over there. not a criteria but it is a very strong evidence of bonafide marriage in my opinion.

The question was whether pregnancy is evidence of a bona fide marriage and it is not.

don't hijack her thread, whether it is or isn't an aid is not germaine to her question

Her question was already answered. It will not speed up or slow down things simple.

As to it proving a marriage, definitely not. In other countries it may be perceived differently. In America children out of wedlock and with other people is pretty common.
