Visa Approved... K1 is issued but K2 is Administrative Processing

Please guys enlighten me to this. We had our interview last June 5 (me and my son). In the afternoon i checked CEAC and our status changed to Application Recieved. At June 5 my status changed to ISSUED but my son remained at Application Recieved. June 8 USTraveldocs texted me that my passport is being transit. I checked the CEAC but my son is still Application Recieved. On June 9 my K2:s status changed to Administrative Processing on that same date my pasaport arrived at 2go where i will pick up my packet. Now im worried and confused, why the passport/packet of my K2 doesn't deliver along with mine. because as i know both will delivered at the same time. and until now his status is AP. i even checked/track his passport on UStraveldocs status it says "No status available for that Passport Number".. can someone please tell me what possibly happened? TIA

hello now i am nervous becuase what i learned from your experience. e have the same situation we also applied for k1 with k2 (for my minor son 7 yrs old). I am a single mother never been married however my son was acknowledged by his bio father hence he is using his bio father surname. Is ur son also using his father's surname? how old is he? by the way we had NOA1 dated Feb. 21 and until now waiting for NOA2.

 

Kindly tell me if how old is ur son? do we have same situation?

my son is 11 and no, he is not using his bio father's surname. we finished everything medical, interview and my visa packet is on me already. my worry is my son who's visa packet didn't delivered at the same time and still on Administrative Processing.

OMG now i am worried about my son i wont go without him.

u think there is disadvantage using surname of his Father?

i think that is totally fine, my friend has 2 k2 and their attached with their bio father but its up to yhe consul if they will asked about the father but that will not make any problem as long as ur not married my friend and her K2 will fly to Florida next week
