Hello, I have a question I applied my N400 together with my son last week of April 2017 then we received letter for biometrics last May 30th, my question is our residence card will expired this August 2017, do I need to renew it? Will I be in trouble or be denied while waiting for interview? Pls help I'm concern and don't want to get in trouble. TIA

If it is two year conditional, you will need to address it, if it is a restrictions-lifted 10 year, generally is ok to apply for N400 with expired green card, but you won't be able to leave the country and re-enter with an expired green card.

I'm worried about my son, he's 22 and working, is it going to affect his working status, he came here with me?

If it is a 10 year green card that is expiring, is no problem if you are applying for an N400, it's only if he looks for another job or leaves country is it an issue.  So if your son has a 10 year green card that is expiring in August and he is already working and you are both filing for N400, you are fine.  An expired 10 year green card doesn't change your legal status here.
