Affidavit of support with no tax returns?

There are some embassies that are strict on tax returns.  I do not recall if Rio is one of those.  Current income should be enough.

Any willing person  can be the joint sponsor, as long as they meet the income and USC or LPR requirements. If you have someone who is willing to do so, prepare the documents and then you are ready for all contingencies.

Ok perfect, my best friend would sign and he makes well above. Thank you for clarifying

That's exactly what I was telling you - but if the number that will be calculated as the expected income at December 31st of this year is less than the poverty line you will need a co-sponsor. So if you're gone for 6 months it'll be year-to-date times the remaining 6 months. You didn't say what you make exactly or when you started working so only you know if it's enough

Although they can calculate it from that I have not heard of one paystub ever being enough for showing stable income. The advice is normally as noted by @NikLR 3-6 months to be sure of not getting problems. We showed 3 months at our interview in combination with a letter from employer and latest tax return plus w2.

That's not correct. The current annual household income is what they go by. If and when past income (in particular the most recent) supports the same it provides additional and stronger evidence of the claim and stronger ability to maintain the income, but the primary purpose of sending the tax returns are to show that you have in fact filed taxes and are in good standing with the irs, free of such debt etc.

Also, the forms are being reviewed at the embassy by a CO not at the NVC. The info provided above is true for i134 as well but is even more important for the aos process.

NVC has nothing to do with K1 cases except to give your case a case number. USCIS determines if the petition is approved and then sends the package to the NVC. The NVC assigns a case number and forwards the package to the correct embassy. When the overseas fiancée has booked their interview they will bring the i134 and supporting documents to the interview for a CO to look at.

I'm sorry, I confused you with the original poster, a K1 petioner - also this is the K1 forum, the answer was directed to K1 petioners/applicants.

Please make a new thread for new inquiries to avoid such confusion and post about it in the correct forum.

I have a similar question.. maybe someone can help me

So here is my situation.. I work at a college part time which I started in October 2016 and make $10,000 yearly there .. As of June 1 I began a second job working at a medical office where I will be paid a salary of $20,000 per year .. Now, I am sponsoring my fiance K1 visa from Amman, Jordan ... my question is do you think I will have issues with the i134F ? My tax return only shows 2 months worth of work at college (since I started October 2016) . I have Included employment  letters from both jobs with my salary , W-2 and paystubs.. but not the tax return.. do you think explaining to the embassy during the interview my situation will.make.an issue? The interviee is next month .. anyone have any experience with the  us embassy in Jordan? Are they tough?

Well, doing the math that means your salary at the end of 2017 will be $10,000 from the first job and $10,000 from the second job - so you should be fine.
