Make sure all supporting papers, forms and proof that they need are completed before you go to interview. Double checked it. My wife passed the interview. For the pre-interview, the lady asked her, Who petitioned me and when i first left the phillipines? Then the interviewer asked her about my family and where they are right now. The he checked all the supporting papers. and that's it. she passed. Goodluck to all April Batch.

You have a few days. If you want to be really safe, take a few moments and doublecheck everything.

Sounds pretty basic, but my wife and I made it through USCIS....through the NVC..........and were confident that everything was prepared etc.......

Only to find out the day of the interview, April 4, that apparently the other 2 branches didn't notice one document we submitted was not the one they were asking for. But, the embassy did. :(

So, the day of the interview, without having any knowledge of this, my wife went to the interview, with a "bag" full of photos, documents, etc.......had her hair styled and got all dressed up (too bad i wasn't there, she must have looked terrific ;) ).....

And when she got to the window, all confident............they asked her a few questions like "What does your husband do for a living?"..."How long has he been working in his profession?"....."What do you plan to do when you come to the USA?" ....."What was your area of research ?"(she is still working on a PhD).....

And after just a few questions, they asked her if she had the "longer" form of a Turkish birth certificate we were supposed to have submitted (I never caught that error....because not being able to read a bit of Turkish, I assumed my wife submitted the correct one.....plus even my wife was confused about what document they wanted, because she said the embassy website wasn't clear on it)...

In 5 minutes, it was done. They gave her a green form, and sent her on her way. :( She said she could not even ask any more questions......they just sent her along.

So, bottom line after all this. Do NOT assume anything.

Because even though you have made it through this far........anything can still happen, and for all you know, there might be something else that you,

the NVC, and USCIS haven't caught yet.

Chances are , you haven't and aren't missing anything. But the point is to doublecheck everything and not take things for granted.

We have since submitted the missing document, but no word yet from the embassy as to when we'll get the visa.

Good luck.
