Folks,

Quick one. My K1 application is currently on the way to the US Embassy in London from the NVC. I have been given my LDN number from the NVC. I've got my police certificate and all vaccination bits. I am planning on visiting my fiancé for 10 days with a flight booked on 29th June (19 days away). I'm going to try and get my medical booked in before this - does anyone know how available appointments are at Knightsbridge and whether or not that time frame is realistic?

Please excuse my impatience - I know I could just wait for them to open on Monday but I'm in planning mode and any insight/speculation is much appreciated!

Cheers,

Chris

Your medical needs to be done 10 days prior to interview - medical last for 6months I think :)

Time frame for medical you can get appointment pretty fast call up Monday and you will probably be seen in next couple days from calling.  Also the time frame for interview you could be waiting up to 2 months for an interview but once I booked my interview I checked everyday and managed to get my interview changed earlier than I originally booked.

Good luck!

When I called for my medical appointment I asked what appointments they had available (expecting an NHS GP receptionist-style response of "well, we might be able to squeeze you in three weeks on Thursday") they asked me to tell them when I could come because they had appointments available every day. This was last November.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

This is all such great news - thank you! Things seem to be moving quicker than expected!

The NVC received my case file on June 1st so I expect it to be with the US embassy in London any day now. Therefore I've obviously not received a letter from them, however, the NVC gave me my LDN number, allowing me to complete my DS-160. I've also got all vaccinations and a police certificate. I guess it's worth waiting for this letter before I schedule the appointment? I have read that they won't proceed without a document stating the LDN number?

Final question - I had my first MMR shot on Friday, I know a booster has to be administered but I don't have the four weeks (time wise) to get it done before I fly to USA for a visit on 29th June. Will the medical accept just one MMR shot or will they list this vaccination as incomplete, meaning I need to sort before the AOS?

Thanks all!
