My fiancée received our baby's CRBA today, 46 days after our interview .

Interview went well, although The Consulate officer did ask us to send in more evidence of our relationship prior to conception.

she clearly stated what kinds of evidence she would like to see.

I did bring a lot of photos of us,but there was no time stamp on them.

I asked her what about pictures with dates from my phone and she said yes, that would be acceptable ,along with chat logs if we had them.

i was only in Manila for the interview ,flying back to the USA soon,so we went to photography shop and had them download the specific pics with time/date stamps on the, from my phone, and I went to the courier shop to have them sent to the embassy.

From our interview to receipt was 46 days, I was not notified by email/mail of the acceptance of evidence or the approval, so We were very happy to get the CRBA ....we also applied for the passport same time. So hopefully next week we will receive that...

hi jtona,

we have the same situation, but mine they ask for physical presence of my husband for 5yrs in US. We did submit already his old passports and ITR last May 10 but until now we haven't recieve the CrBa yet. 😟

At the same time, we are waiting for my CR1 for spousal visa, does it affect also?! We submitted my 221g lacking docs last May 30. Does any here have the same as my case?

I had the evidence of physical presence in the USA in the documents I gave them. I had my tax records and work verification....we are in process of K-1 visa and told them .. I don't think it affects the CRBA process at all..altogether about 6 weeks process....so I hope this helps..

good luck...

Hello Trishlyn.

YES!! We received her Passport last week ...Less than 2 weeks after we received her CRBA...so the timeline of 4-8 weeks is pretty much correct...

Hi jtona, I'm so happy for you three! We are applying for our CRBA and have our interview coming up. Can I just ask about your situation? We are engaged but not yet married, and she already has her K1. We're of course worried about having to do the blood test. Did you have to do it? We spent a lot of time putting together our application materials and it's very comprehensive. So I'm hoping we can get issued the CRBA/passport soon after the interview, and I'm just looking for some examples of folks who didn't get the DNA test for my own peace of mind haha.

Congrats again!

Hello...

Our k-1 application is still being processed ...

We had a rather large packet also in preparation for the CRBA interview ,but once we started the 1st person to screen our materials , managed to take it all apart saying  "this is not needed,or this is not correct", all the while pulling out the stuff she was going to keep and putting the other stuff in another pile.

We had pictures of us before we had our baby, along with pics of us during and after baby was born. Bring ALL medical records (test results, sonograms,,etc) you have after baby was conceived and through pregnancy..make sure your photos have Date and time stamps....this was very important. The ones that helped us most were the pics from my iPhone with the date/time on them. After our interview ,we went immediately to computer shop to print these and send these back same day...Since I didn't include them in the initial interview, but the consulate interviewer told me this would be most helpful...Also I had a lot of plane tickets/itineraries with BOTH OUR NAMES and dates of travel..

you can't take your phone inside embassy , so I couldn't show her during interview.

After all was said and done, we were approved WITHOUT having to do a costly DNA test...but like I said we had a lot of info/pics throughout our relationship...

good of luck....

Thanks for the pointers! We really really really appreciate it! It's a pretty stressful process, and it's great to talk to someone who succeeded recently at it!

Well even though we had pages and pages of pictures, some with dates and times, I went through and screenshotted a bunch of iPhone pics and printed a few pages of that. We also have a number of plane tickets from traveling together both before and after she was pregnant.

It's so great that you weren't asked for the DNA test. I won't be able to be there with her for the interview and I'm very worried about that. But I think our application is pretty sound and definitely comprehensive. We're really hoping we aren't told to get the test and it's great to know that it doesn't always happen. Did they ever mention it to you or anything? And do you think sending in the pics after the interview slowed down the issuing any?

Thanks so much for the help!

We were given an Rfe form at the end of interview saying they needed more evidence we were together PRIOR to conception, that is the reason I printed off the iPhone time/dated pics and sent them in immediately after interview ....so those pics are the 1's that definitely helped my application
