Pay for visa

We sent packet 3 the other day, got packet 4 today, I've tried to go through the site to look at the available interview dates and it tells me that our case is not ready for the interview, but we've received the packet 4 email. Do you have to pay the visa fee first or do you pay that at the interview?

You can pay it right away, or at the interview, or pretty much anytime before you enter the US. I think you can even pay it after, but they won't issue a Green Card without having received it.

Thank you so much for that, i have been searching everywhere and couldn't find anything

do you know why it would say our file isn't ready to set up the interview even though we received packet 4 and it says we are ready?

I would guess that your file is still in transit to the Canadian Embassy, but I'm not sure.

Wrong fee. Op is K1 and is talking about the ds-160 visa fee. 

 

You have to pay the ds-160 fee before you can book an interview.  You pay no fees at the interview in Montreal. 

What does your ceac status say? If you recieved the p4 email that means Montreal has your case and it should say "ready".
