Not able to go to AOS interview because of military training

So I have been waiting 8 months just to get scheduled for an interview. My interview is in just a few days and my husband's job is telling him that he can't go because he has to be in the field (he's in the army) and that means he can't come to the interview. He has been telling them for months that my interview will be in June or July and he needs to come now at the last minute they screw us over. Does anybody know what I should do? I honestly feel hopeless. I don't want to cancel my interview. Please help me.

From having been in the Army myself, field training is generally not something you get out of even if it comes up last second so not so much them screwing him over but just how it is.

 

And you just proceed to your interview as planned.

Bring a copy of his orders indicating he's on active deployment; USCIS makes exceptions to spouses attending interviews if they are on active US military service under these circumstances--but they will require written proof.

It's technically not deployment just deployment training and he's only hours away from home when he has training. They told me I can bring a memo signed by his command and they'll consider rescheduling the interview because unless it's an actual deployment where he is out of the country, he has to be present since he's the petitioner

I'll try to go to the interview I have a letter from his unit command and I'll just see how it goes 😔

Being a former Marine myself whether he is on deployment or not he is being ordered to go. Just have a letter from his command on unit letter head. You will be fine.
