Kyiv, Ukraine.

My case is ready from 12 of May.

Tomorrow is my interview 9 of June, but some person from embassy just called me amd asked Why I made the appointment??? Who told that I can make the appointment???

I made the post in this forum and people text me whem the case is ready You can go for medical exam and make the appointment.

Now I  am super worried.

The person from embassy told me. Okay, your interview will be tomorrow, be ready, but it was not allowed to make appointment.

Any suggestions or comments???

Hi Inna, I wish I could help you somehow but I have no idea. Maybe @Ksenia_O knows, she seems to be an expert on our embassy.

Could you please give us an update after the interview? I am still waiting for my NOA2 but I would like to know how to schedule the interview properly.

Best of luck!!!

the only idea crosses my mind is the Embassy Notice/Letter/email you should've received when the Embassy got your case.Technically you are supposed to wait for the Notice and AFTER that start getting ready for interview..

I don't think you should worry right now - yes, it's not a pleasure to get a phone call like that from the Embassy, but they DID let you go through your interview. That's good ;) So, just focus  on your documents - double check with everything.. And - good luck tomorrow!!

Just, please, let us know how everything went, ok?..

P.S. Did your Fiance get his Tax Return for 2016 amended?... Hope, he did and emailed that to you...

One more time - good luck!!.

Alright.

My visa is approved!!!!

So they did not ask me anything about yesterday conversation. Honestly I do not know what it was.

My appointment was for 8 a.m.

At 8, 40 a.m. I was free

I got few simple questions and the end

"Everything looks good. Your visa is approved".

Sooooo?.... Time to pack your luggage? :)

P.S. One more thing - if you have any Degree Diplomas, translate and get Apostille on them along with academic transcripts while you are still in Ukraine.  Then you can evaluate your Degree in US credits after entering the country. It might be very helpful when you start looking for a job or continued education. But the thing is - the Evaluation Agencies usually work ONLY with originals and Apostille on them.  i had even copies of my Diplomas and academic transcripts translated, notarized and stamped with Apostille.

Here is the link. Just as an example, one of evaluation agencies. That you could see what documents are required to get your Diplomas or Certificates evaluated in US credits.

GOOD LUCK!!! ;)

You are very welcome!!

Happy to share this info, because I also didn't know about that - my husband, then Fiance, did this research and advised me to do so. And it really helps - employers don't get "confused" once they see your foreign Diploma or Certificate has been evaluated in US credits and they can read that ;)
