Name spelling issue - NVC

I just called the NVC to get an update on my application, gave them my number and spelled my name and my fiance's name to them. The lady said that she sees my application but can't give me any information because both my name and that of my fiance is spelled differently in their system.  She claims that the USCIS may have spelled it wrong but the NOA2 that I received a month ago had the right spelling for both of our names.   The lady told me to send the NVC and email with a request to correct the spelling issue, which I have done.   Is there anything else I should do at this point?     I sent an email to the NVC 3 weeks ago to request for my case number and yet to receive a response to that email.

This is trying ruin my morning but I will remain optimistic.  Any recommendation will be highly appreciated.

Has anyone experienced a situation where both the last names of the petitioner and beneficiary were wrongly spelled at the NVC stage?  How did you get it fixed?  I was told to email my passport information page of myself and my fiance to the nvc but was also told that there is no guarantee that they will get to the email before our application is sent  to Lagos.  Is there any other way or faster way of getting the change done at the NVC?
