All we are planning on doing is FedExing stuff back to the US that wont fit into the luggage. That can be kind of expensive, so really trying to just pick and choose the must haves hehe.

If you have a lot of belongings, FedEx and the others are just too expensive. I have a lot of neat things I've picked up here in Central America, pottery and relics, I'm a collector and I pick up copied pre-Colombian artifacts as well. The sad thing, I can buy real pre-Colombian artifacts cheap, but you can leave the country with them. Also, I have my art supplies and a lot of other things that I just can pack and take on the plane.

I have a friend who owns a shipping company and some of her people are coming over to our house next week to give me a price to pack everything and ship it by boat to the USA for us. A lot of shipping company ship a container to the States regularly and have room in their containers for your stuff. The cost is a lot cheaper. But it takes a lot more time for you to get your things as well. Since we're not leaving till the end of May, we'll ship our stuff well in advance so that it will be there shortly after we arrive. I would suggest contacting a shipping company, try to get one that is recommenced, just ask around, read web sites that the local USC use and ask about shipping things to the states by boat, usually they can tell you who to go with and who to avoid.
