Going out of the US while in process

We are in the citizenship process. We did our bio-metrics/fingerprints on 3/10/2017 and my wife on 3/21/2017. So far, no update. We are going to be in Europe for 3 weeks in August. Could it be a problem for our application? We monitor the case status online. But so far nothing is happening.

• What would happen if they give us the interview date while we are away?
• How much time there is typically between the interview notice and the interview itself usually?

Do you have someone checking your mail while you are away?  I think you can reschedule interviews as long as you give them notice.

Yes we have someone that will check our email while away. How long before do they send the appointment letters?

It's perfectly fine to travel while N400 is pending adjudication. You just want to have someone check mail frequently just in case you get scheduled for interview so you don't miss it. If you signed up to be notified ( using e notification form) that should also make it easy since you can track by email as well. Your interview scheduling will depend on your local USCIS field office processing times in your city. USCIS typically also sends interview notices 1 month ahead of the actual interview date. Another thing you have to do is update your travel information on the day of your interview with the immigration officer interviewing you.

I also have same question I filed for my citizenship on 16th May and two days ago I got the receipt letter.  I want to travel to Europe in July for 15 days. Only I and my 2 year old daughter will be going with my sisters and cousins. My husband will be home with her mother who's disabled.will everything be ok if I plan to go with my family for 15 days to Europe?
