Hello,

I have my K1 interview at the end of this month and I've picked the home delivery option! I just wanted to know, does the courier give you a date they will deliver, do they text and say expect delivery today within this time etc?

I'm just trying to figure out whether I will have enough time to say I'll work from home that day, or if I should just get it delivered to my work? :)

Thanks

Yaz

Yeah I think the UK are the same, just wasn't sure if the tracking number will tell you the date of delivery, just so I know which day to work from home kinda thing! Thank you for your response :) !!

I'm glad you asked this question.  We have been wondering if we will get any alert as to when it will be delivered.  I will let you know if he ends up getting an email or anything about it!  :)

I collected mine from DX Southampton last December. I called them on the Monday and asked if it was there. They said "have you been notified that it has been received here and is ready for collection?" I said "no, that's why I'm calling". They said "if you've not been notified then it's not here yet. We notify everyone when they are here and ready for collection." The minute I put the phone down I got the notification.

I was only calling because I was concerned because the very same DX depot lost my UK passport the previous year.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

From the US Embassy in London, I received email notification (and I think a text) from donotreply@usvisa-info.com on a Friday with tracking info, and it was delivered on the Monday, straight after the weekend a couple of days later.

Yes, I also got an email the day before to say the documents were on their way, with a tracking number / link. They then arrived the next day, but I wasn't given a specific delivery time.

That's perfect, I can tell my office the day before if I need to work from home the next day! Thank you for letting me know! :)

He got an email just a few minutes ago with the tracking information and a scheduled delivery date of tomorrow :)  So not much notice like everyone has said but at least they give notice ahead of time.  Also, that will be one week from his interview so right on schedule.  :jest:
